Ride-On TPS Tire Sealants and Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)

TPMS

Every day, we here at Ride-On Corporate Headquarters receive numerous inquiries from our dealers and retail customers as to whether Ride-On TPS products can be used in vehicles with Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS). The answer is yes!

As more automobile manufacturers, OEMs, and fleet managers begin to implement this new technology, we would like you to know that we are doing our part by researching these products and their use in conjunction with Ride-On TPS tire sealants. In this article, we talk about our findings which are based on professionally conducted research. We also present our own opinions, which are based on our own personal use of Ride-On TPS and its use with TPMS.

First, I would like to get this started by answering the question at hand; yes, Ride-On TPS is without a doubt a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) friendly product. Additionally, Ride-On TPS has been tested by two of the leading TPMS manufacturers (Advantage Pressure Pro & Stemco AirBat), and their research has concluded that Ride-On TPS products are compatible with TPMS. Currently, our products are used in thousands of applications with no adverse effects; furthermore, our employees have also been using Ride-On TPS with TPMS equipped vehicles for several years without incident. When properly installed, Ride-On TPS should not clog valve cores; nor, should it cause problems when checking tire pressures (tens of thousands of commercial vehicles are running with Ride-On in their tires without any valve stem plugging issues to-date).

Nevertheless, it is important to note, that all TPMS manufacturers have a policy in regards to foreign substances that are injected inside of tires with TPMS valve sensors installed. For the most part, these policies state that the use of any foreign substances inside of a tire with TPMS valve systems installed, or the use of any foreign substances which have been injected via the valve stem into the tire; will void their TPMS warranties. Moreover, it is also important to note, that these policies fall into place regardless of whether or not there is actual proof that the foreign substances found inside of the tire are in fact the actual cause of the TPMS sensor failure. YOU DO NOT WANT TO GIVE THE WARRANTY ADMINISTRATOR A REASON TO AUTOMATICALLY VOID YOUR WARRANTY!

Again, we have based all of our findings on professional research which has been conducted by TPMS manufacturers, the research of our on-site engineers, the experience of our own employees, and last but not least; the feedback that we continuously receive from satisfied Ride-On TPS customers. In conclusion, we believe that you should not have any problems using our tire sealants in conjunction with your TPMS equipped vehicle(s); however, should a TPMS sensor fail, we recommend that you remove the product from the tire prior to taking it in for servicing. Not to worry, removing Ride-On TPS from your tire(s) is quick, clean, and easy; in addition to this, all of our products are water soluble and environmentally friendly. As always, please remember to drive safely, inspect your tires regularly, spread the good word, and continue to Ride-On!
